Just when your plans for a busy year are about start…….. Flu strikes, who knows which type of flu, does it matter? not really, you just need to wait for the symptoms to fade and the energy to return. So not much to blog about so far this year just the one excursion.
Island life is different, as you will find out through our antics this year.
One of the things we don’t have is a cinema. But every couple of months we have this!

Tickets booked in advance on line, Lynne’s first concession! we go with our friend Val and choose from a selection of films. This month Lynne chose;
Amazing scenery and cast. We enjoyed it, but the story line was rather sad, so a slightly subdued audience left the packed wee cinema. I say that because I saw “Sunshine on Leith” and “Les Miserables” at the screen machine, on both these occasions the packed audience including me, spontaneously rose to our feet and applauded with such enthusiasm, it was as if we were expecting an encore!
Film start time was 5.30 pm this is ideal for us to have an early tea at the
Great menu and service with excellent vegan & gluten free choices for Val, it’s just five minutes by car to the screen machine, perfect. Our trip began at 3.30 pm with an eight mile drive to Brodick and we were back home before 8 pm. Perfect! we are looking forward to the next screen machine visit.
