Crafting for pleasure has kept Lynne & I really busy over the last few months. This is some of our work. We have learned lots new techniques between us. (follow us for more about this later) Lynne has done some beautiful sewing as you can see by these fabulous cushions and cute Russian Doll pin cushions. Her large stash of fabric will keep Lynne busy at her sewing machine, only a large dose of sunshine will drag her away to try out some fabulous walks!
We began with planning, naturally we planned over delicious coffee and cake at the Shore in Whiting Bay. Our first craft fayre was called SPRING and we enjoyed crafting with the colours, pink, purple and yellow.
I have a large stash of card, boxes and paper. Making huge paper flowers was so much fun. Transporting them to the village hall without damaging them was a challenge in itself though! It’s amazing just how much can be fitted into two shopping trolleys and a couple of bags.
The Craft Fayre is run by Crafts and Company a collective of 7 very talented ladies, we feel privileged to be able to join them, there is a waiting list. The village hall was packed and a we were made to feel very welcome. For a small Scottish Island the talent is amazing. We will attend each month and each month will showcase different crafts or skills. We are not highly skilled but we are having a huge amount of pleasure crafting.
